With the M9417, you don't need to dedicate a line to a fax machine or modem. The Call Director feature lets you use distinctive ringing service to economically list separate numbers for your telephone and fax or modem. The M9417 detects the special ring and automatically routes the call to the proper device.

For telecommuting or work-at-home scenarios, the M9417 lets you use one line for business and one for personal use. When connected to an appropriate ISDN device and a standard RJ-11 jack, the M9417 can be used to access ISDN services which allows you to send or receive data files wile having a conversation - on just one line.
