Consultant - User Experience & Adoption (Skype / Teams)

Job Summary:

The Adoption and Technology Specialist will provide a key role to the UC Services organization, delivering customer-facing engagements around Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams and meeting room technologies. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and be able to manage their time effectively with minimal supervision. This position will require travel to and from customer locations and the ability to work on several customer projects simultaneously. Further, this role will work closely with other teams within UC to promote cross-team collaboration and to assist when those teams require additional resourcing.

SKYPE FOR BUSINESS AND TEAMS EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE.

Specific Responsibilities:

Tasks include:
  • Frequent interaction with external groups of various sizes, including senior executives, IT stakeholders, and end users both in person and in online meetings.

  • Developing instructional content and quick reference materials to be used for customer adoption programs.

  • Ability to demonstrate SFB/Teams room systems to customers – Skype Room System, Surface Hub and the various peripherals that are connected to them.

  • Providing excellent customer communication both in person and in all written interactions, representing the company in a professional, helpful manner.

  • Assisting the UC Technical Services team with basic troubleshooting onsite if required.

Required Education & Experience:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field

  • Intermediate-level understanding of Microsoft Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams preferred

  • Previous experience in a customer facing role providing demonstration of technology

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Professional business composition skills – writing and delivery customer facing content

  • Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office products such as PowerPoint, Word & Excel.

  • Previous work history of customer-facing interaction delivering training or instructional demonstrations

  • Ability to travel to customer sites up to 50%
