Purchasing and Inventory Manager

We're looking for an: Experienced Purchasing/Inventory Manager to execute the planning, organization and supervision of our Warehouse and Vendor orders in compliance with mandated requirements.

Our Purchasing/Inventory Manager will oversee and direct the daily activities of Purchasing and Inventory Management including planning, organizing, and directing the activities of our Purchasing Department:

  • Locate and negotiating terms and conditions with vendors, manufacturers and/or service providers
  • Prepares Purchase Orders verifying specifications and price Monitors and expedites purchased items with Sales and Warehouse
  • Respond to a range of inquiries regarding processes or bid status
  • Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products, or substitute materials
  • Researching, identifying, developing and maintaining long-term productive relationships with Vendors
  • Manage supply and demand to forecast current and future costs of needed product
  • Negotiate contracts, formulate policies and procedures, resolve grievances with Vendors and Manufacturers
  • Updates Job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and certifications

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 - 5+ years of experience in a Purchasing Department and have a strong background and knowledge of purchasing policies and procedures
  • The drive for advancement and knowledge with the ability to be adaptable
  • A team-oriented work attitude with strong operational and ethical judgment
  • Must be highly organized, have an outstanding follow-up system
  • Knowledge of Windows Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems
  • Ability to be resourceful in order to find the best solution for a Customer’s need
  • The Ability to multi-task and prioritize several tasks without compromising quality of work or mission deadlines, and
  • The skills to communicate and negotiate with Vendors and Manufacturers using high levels of integrity and sound judgement

Required Experience:

  • purchasing technology or similar equipment and managing inventory: 3 years

Required experience:
